Update on Baby Kai
We took Kai to the Neurologist at Primary Children's last week. They said his head circumference has increased so there is still some pressure in his head. If it levels off here, they won't have to do anything. If it keeps getting bigger, they'll have to drain the fluid and pressure, or possibly put in a shunt. We take him back in a month to get a CAT scan and see the Neurologist again. Hope for the best!

Baby Kai Pie
Last Monday Kai fell off the couch and hit his head. A couple days later he started throwing up and just not feeling well. Thursday we took him to the ER at Jordan Valley and they said he was just dehydrated and needed IV fluids. So we did that and took him home. (This was all going on while I was in JV Hospital for a gallbladder removal!) Then on Saturday night he started getting sick again and just being cranky. So we took him to Primary Children's hospital. They did some tests and found he had a subdural hematoma. When he was born (he was 11 weeks early) he had a small bleed in the right frontal lobe of his brain. It's possible it's been there all along and the small fall knocked something loose. He was in the hospital for 4 days. Anyway, the swelling is going down on it's own. We have to take him back in 2 weeks to the neurologist to make sure it's all good. It was a horrible week! Poor little guy! But he's doing much better now. Back to his old silly self! Here is a picture of him in the hospital.

Our little home!
Here is a picture of our new little townhome! They are brand new. It's not the greatest area but it's not bad. There's lots of restaurants and shops nearby and it's right by the 201 freeway so it's pretty conveniently located!
